Inbound Warehouse Manager – Croydon

Monday to Friday | 8am–5pm | Fast-paced, highly regulated and market leading business.

About the business:

Our client is a leader in their field, supplying essential products and essential services to customers globally. They’ve built their success on quality, reliability, and genuine care for their people. This is a business where you’re supported to grow, encouraged to lead, and trusted to make a real impact.

The role:

As Inbound Warehouse Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the operation. This is where everything begins – the inbound hub that keeps the wider network running smoothly.

You’ll lead a team of around 25 dedicated colleagues in a busy, forklift-operated environment, making sure goods are received, stored, and fed into the right parts of the process safely, accurately, and on time.

Communication is key here. You’ll be the vital link between internal teams and external suppliers, keeping everyone aligned, deliveries on track, and issues resolved before they become problems.

If you thrive on organisation, enjoy leading people, and take pride in keeping things running like clockwork, this is a role where you’ll truly make your mark.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and developing a team of up to 25 warehouse colleagues to create a motivated, high-performing shift.
  • Owning all inbound activity, from supplier delivery checks to safe storage and efficient handover into other parts of the business.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers, hauliers, and internal departments to keep the flow of goods seamless.
  • Ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy, and housekeeping at all times.
  • Managing labour, resources, and schedules to hit daily and weekly targets.
  • Spotting opportunities for improvement and driving better ways of working.

What we’re looking for:

  • A hands‑on warehouse leader with experience managing teams in a busy, forklift‑operated environment.
  • Someone who communicates brilliantly, is calm under pressure and great at building relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Experience in inbound logistics or materials flow within a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.
  • A continuous improvement mindset — you’re always looking for a smarter, safer, or more efficient way to do things.

Why you’ll love it here:

You’ll join a business that genuinely values its people. You’ll be trusted to lead, supported to develop, and given the space to make real improvements. This is a role with purpose, where what you do every day makes a visible difference across the wider operation.
