An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Account Manager to join a well-established international business operating within highly regulated global industries. This is not a sales hunting role. Instead, the focus is on developing, strengthening and growing relationships across an established customer base through exceptional account management and customer engagement.
The business supplies an extensive product portfolio of over 5,000 SKUs to customers globally and already works with a diverse client base internationally. With around 100-150 active accounts requiring greater commercial development and relationship management, they are now looking to bring in someone with a genuine "farming" approach to account management.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships, staying close to customers and becoming a trusted point of contact who truly understands their operational needs and commercial challenges. The successful candidate will be highly relationship-focused, commercially aware and naturally entrepreneurial in their approach - someone who can identify opportunities to increase customer activity, improve engagement and drive additional revenue growth across existing accounts.
The Role:
- Managing and developing an established international customer base
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships
- Identifying opportunities to increase account activity and spend
- Understanding customer requirements and providing tailored solutions
- Working collaboratively with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery
- Taking customers on a journey and becoming a trusted commercial partner
- Driving additional cash margin growth across existing accounts
The ideal candidate for the Account Manager role will have the following background:
- Proven experience within Account Management in a product based business, and ideally within a highly regulated environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
- A relationship-led, consultative approach to sales and account growth
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and personable character
- Ability to communicate confidently with international customers
- Someone who thrives within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience managing multiple customer relationships simultaneously
The bonus structure is designed to reward growth and commercial impact, with earnings linked directly to additional margin generated and account uplift performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and highly respected business where you can genuinely make an impact, build meaningful customer relationships and develop a long-term career within an international environment.
