We are supporting a growing Pharmaceutical business to hire a dynamic and experienced Generics Trading Buyer to play a key role in its continued growth.
About the opportunity:
Our client has established themselves as a market leader within the Pharmaceutical field and has a strong reputation within the industry, known for supplying a broad range of generics into the market. The role will be multifaceted and the successful candidate will be responsible for both the buying and selling of generics, so you will have to be commercially minded whilst also being very tuned into market trends and dynamics. The generics industry is a very fast moving industry - supply shortages and price fluctuations can mean trade can go through massive ups and downs in a matter of hours. It is therefore essential that the Generics Trading Buyer is able to operate in this environment, which could effectively be compared to the financial stock market, but rather than trading stocks, you are trading in Generics and Pharmaceutical products.
What are we looking for in the successful candidate:
- Experience within Generics and the Pharmaceutical industry is essential to succeed in this role.
- We are looking for a dynamic, hard-working and commercially minded Buyer who thrives in difficult negotiations.
- We are seeking someone who has very strong overall business acumen - whilst this is a commercial role, this isn’t a typical sales role. We need an individual who values long-term partnerships as opposed to chasing short term success.
- Detailed orientated, analytical and has a very good command on margins, market trends and forecasting.
- Willing to travel to meet customers - having a full driving licence is essential for this role.
