The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, stock purchasing and operational procurement activities across a dynamic and fast-moving supply chain. This position requires someone commercially aware, highly organised and adaptable - comfortable balancing both reactive Just-In-Time purchasing alongside more strategic, trend-led buying based on market demand and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing purchasing activity and raising purchase orders
- Obtaining supplier quotations and negotiating pricing
- Monitoring supplier performance and spend
- Supporting stock control and inventory management
- Managing supplier returns and stock discrepancies
- Assisting with reporting, invoice queries and procurement administration
- Working closely with internal departments to maintain operational efficiency
- Previous buying, procurement or stock control experience
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, team-oriented approach
- Confident working across multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience within regulated industries would be advantageous, but not essential.
