Head of Engineering

Radar Healthcare is seeking a senior technical leader to drive delivery excellence, engineering quality, and modern ways of working across all Radar delivery teams. The role focuses on hands‑on technical leadership, SDLC modernisation, and cross‑team productivity improvement. The Head of Engineering leads all Tech Leads, bridges Product, Platform, and Engineering, and owns design, architecture, and engineering practices.

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage all Tech Leads across delivery teams.
  • Establish consistent engineering standards across teams.
  • Drive predictable, high‑quality delivery outcomes across the SDLC.
  • Ensure alignment between Product, Delivery, and Engineering priorities.

Technical Leadership (Hands‑On)

  • Act as a senior technical authority across backend, frontend, and architecture.
  • Lead design reviews, architecture critiques, and technical decision‑making.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Tech Leads to break down initiatives into well‑structured, deliverable work.
  • Prototype and validate new technical approaches where appropriate.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of system design and code quality across teams.

SDLC Modernisation

  • Lead the transformation of engineering ways of working across CI/CD, testing, release processes and observability.
  • Drive adoption of AI‑first approaches to software development.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve flow, quality, and speed.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading Tech Leads.
  • Experience with .NET, React, SQL Server (or similar).
  • Strong hands‑on web stack experience.
  • Cloud native architecture (ideally Azure).
  • Modern SDLC practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating acquired teams.
  • Experience working with delivery partners.
