The Opportunity
Radar Healthcare\’s new Head of Platform
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Platform to lead our Platform Engineering and DevOps function, including Operational Support, as we transition into a modern, cloud-native operating environment. This is a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our global SaaS infrastructure and product, ensuring we deliver a secure, robust, scalable, and flexible platform to support our customers and users.
What you’ll be doing to make a difference:
Platform Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of technical leaders and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Own a strategic roadmap for the platform team that connects activities to strategic goals agreed with the CTO
Operational Excellence
- Ensure adherence to the highest platform security standards.
- Cloud cost optimisation and management in Azure and complementary SaaS systems
- Design and implement next-gen logging practices.
Cloud Native Transformation
- Support and guide the team on their cloud journey, advancing their skills and practices in Azure – embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and ephemeral environments.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance DevOps maturity, promoting high levels of automation and continuous improvement.
DevEx and DevSecOps Leadership
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to align platform capabilities with their transition from Scrum to a more agile, high-frequency release cycle.
- Champion DevSecOps principles to ensure security is embedded at every stage of the development and release process.
Your journey so far…
- Extensive experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps leadership, including operational support for global environments.
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architectures, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Familiarity with AWS and experience managing multi-cloud environments and migrations.
- Deep understanding of IaC, Configuration Management and CI/CD best practices.

- Use of AI to enhance automation and improve cost-effectiveness
- Knowledge of high-frequency release cycles and agile software delivery methodologies.

Technology – Rest assured, we\’ll have a laptop all set up and ready for you on your first day. Additionally, in your first week, we’ll conduct a WFH risk assessment to ensure you have everything you need, including a second screen, keyboard, mouse, and any other goodies!
Dog friendly office
Socials – we get together as a full company at least four times per year, plus at least once a quarter in individual teams, too. Not including all the fun activities being planned by our newly formed social committee.
