RAD Propulsion is building the future of marine mobility. We design and manufacture high-performance electric propulsion systems for boats, supported by intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences. We are looking for a Frontend Developer to help develop and maintain our cross-platform mobile and web apps that connect directly with our products.
About the Role
You will contribute to the ongoing development of our Flutter-based mobile app (iOS and Android) and our web interface, both of which act as key touchpoints for users interacting with RAD systems. The app connects to our hardware over Wi-Fi, providing real-time data, control, and system configuration. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in frontend development, a good eye for detail, and experience working with multi-platform apps. You will be part of a small, collaborative team, working closely with product designers, backend developers, and embedded engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain mobile and web frontends using Flutter and React
- Develop responsive, accessible, and polished user interfaces
- Integrate with backend systems and embedded devices over Wi-Fi and REST APIs
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to deliver new features
- Contribute to UI/UX design discussions and technical implementation details
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews
- Testing in the field: real world testing on boats operating in their intended environments.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of professional experience in mobile and/or web frontend development
- Proficiency with, or a willingness to learn, Flutter and Dart, with a strong focus on UI and user experience
- Experience working with HTML/CSS is required, with experience of React being a bonus
- Understanding of networked applications and app-to-device communication is a plus
- Comfortable working independently within a collaborative environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to visual and interactive detail
Why RAD?
- Help shape the user experience of a cutting-edge marine tech product
- Work closely with real hardware, not just screens
- Join a fast-paced, purpose-driven team working on clean energy innovation
