Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa is entering an exciting new chapter as the newest addition to the RAD Hotel Group.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands‑on Operations Manager to lead the day-to‑day operation of the hotel.

As the most senior leader on site, you will report directly to the Director of Operations and work closely with the wider company directors to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive commercial performance, and lead our teams with confidence and professionalism.

This is not a desk‑based management role.

We are looking for someone who leads from the front, is visible throughout the business, and is prepared to support every department whenever required.

From food & beverage to accommodation, events, spa operations and guest service, you will set the standard through your own example while developing a culture of excellence across the hotel.

At RAD Hotel Group, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences through exceptional hospitality, distinctive venues, and a commitment to excellence.

Our award‑winning collection of hotels and venues across Scotland each have their own unique personality, but all share the same RAD values: quality, passion, and genuine care for our guests and people.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Acting as the senior operational leader on site, taking full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the hotel.
  • Leading from the front by maintaining a visible presence across all departments and supporting operational teams wherever the business requires.
  • Inspiring, coaching, and developing departmental managers and colleagues to create a high‑performing, guest‑focused culture.
  • Driving exceptional standards of guest service across accommodation, food & beverage, spa, weddings, events, and all other hotel operations.
  • Working closely with the senior management team to deliver strategic objectives and maximise business performance.
  • Taking ownership of operational performance, ensuring delivery against financial targets, labour budgets, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitoring guest feedback and online reviews, implementing improvements to continually enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensuring the hotel consistently achieves the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, compliance, health & safety, and operational excellence.
  • Supporting revenue growth by identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies, maximise sales, and enhance profitability.
  • Managing staffing levels and operational resources to meet business demands while maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Leading by example during busy service periods, providing hands‑on operational support wherever needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior operational management role within a quality hotel or hospitality business.
  • A genuine hands‑on leader who enjoys being operationally involved and visible within the business.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop successful teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour controls, and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and decision‑making skills.
  • A natural problem solver who remains calm and effective under pressure.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating memorable stays.
  • Experience overseeing multiple operational departments within a hotel environment.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of a busy hospitality operation.
  • What We'll Offer You
  • Competitive salary (DOE)
  • 4‑weekly tips
  • Weekly pay
  • Discount across all RAD Hotel Group venues
  • Uniform provided
  • Staff meal on duty
  • Career progression opportunities within a growing hotel group
