We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa. This hands-on role will support the upkeep, safety and presentation of our hotel, grounds and facilities, including general repairs, gardens and outdoor areas.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep throughout the hotel and its facilities.
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager and wider maintenance team with day-to-day maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining the hotel's grounds and gardens, including general upkeep and presentation.
  • Carrying out basic painting, decorating and general property upkeep where required.
  • Assisting with planned preventative maintenance and responding to reactive maintenance issues.
  • Helping to ensure hotel facilities, equipment and communal areas are safe, clean and well-maintained.
  • Supporting the upkeep of outdoor areas, paths, entrances and other external spaces.
  • Assisting with maintenance projects, renovations and developments within the hotel where required.
  • Following all health and safety procedures and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, groundskeeping or similar hands-on role is beneficial.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance, repairs and property upkeep.
  • Experience in areas such as painting, decorating, joinery, plumbing or electrical work would be advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
  • The flexibility to work a varied shift pattern, including weekends. Weekend working will be shared across the team, with approximately 1 in 4 weekends required.
