We are looking for a Night Porter to join the team at Lochside House Hotel.

This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a varied and dynamic environment.

You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during the night shift, ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations, and maintaining high standards of service and safety for all guests.

You will also be involved with general portering duties setting function spaces for the following days business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Bar service to guests during the night, ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment.
  • Wedding and event setups in function rooms for weddings, conferences, and other events.
  • Responding to guest requests, check‑in/check‑out of late arrivals, and ensuring all needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and its guests throughout the night, including regular checks of public areas and rooms.
  • Assisting with luggage, deliveries, and ensuring the hotel remains clean and organized.
  • Completing required night audit duties, including balancing the financial records for the day.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or security concerns to the relevant departments.

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
