Duty Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join the team at Lochside House Hotel, Lodges & Spa. You’ll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel, providing leadership and support across all departments and ensuring consistently high standards of service for our guests.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring all departments are running efficiently and to a high standard
- Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Lead and support the team on shift, ensuring clear communication and strong service standards
- Carry out regular checks across the hotel, lodges, and guest areas to maintain cleanliness, presentation, and service standards
- Support the smooth running of weddings, conferences, and events
- Manage financial duties including cash handling and basic reporting
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and hotel policies
- Support the wider management team with the day-to-day running of the hotel
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a hotel or F&B environment
- Experience in conference, banqueting, weddings, or events is preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations
- Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- The ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make confident decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and management
- A positive attitude, professional appearance, and diplomatic approach
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
