The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on HR Officer to join our HR team based at our Head Office in Cumnock. This role will provide comprehensive HR support across our 8 hotels, covering a wide range of generalist duties. The role involves regular travel to our venues, so flexibility and a full driving licence are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across the group
- Support employee relations, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
- Coordinate recruitment processes, from job adverts and interviews to onboarding new starters
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems, and reporting (absence, turnover, payroll support)
- Provide managers with support and training on areas of HR, getting hands on to support their development
- Assist with learning and development initiatives and training coordination
- Ensure compliance with employment law, right to work checks, and policies
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement across the group
About You
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role (hospitality sector experience desirable but not essential)
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a small HR team
- Willingness to travel regularly to hotels within the group (a driving licence is essential)
