We're looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Dalmeny Park House Hotel.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to take the lead in a beautiful, high-profile hotel known for its weddings, events and exceptional guest experiences.
You'll play a key role in shaping our food offering, developing the kitchen team and ensuring consistently high standards across every service.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring every service runs efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
- Take responsibility for food quality, presentation, consistency and portion control across all menus and services.
- Develop and introduce seasonal menus that showcase quality ingredients and reflect the standards and identity of Dalmeny Park.
- Manage food purchasing, stock control, waste and kitchen costs effectively.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are consistently maintained.
- Work closely with the wider hotel management team to deliver outstanding food and service across weddings, events and hotel dining.
- Monitor kitchen performance and identify opportunities to improve standards, efficiency and profitability.
- Support recruitment, training and development of kitchen team members.
- Ensure the kitchen is organised, well maintained and fully prepared for each service.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, or an experienced Senior Sous Chef ready to take the next step.
- A strong background in a quality hotel, restaurant or events environment.
- Proven experience leading, developing and motivating a kitchen team.
- A genuine passion for food, with creativity and confidence in developing menus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing stock, ordering, food costs and waste.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience with Procure Wizard would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A positive, hands-on approach and the ambition to continually raise standards.
