We are looking for a Duty Manager to join our team at Seamill Hydro Hotel.

In this role, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring exceptional service for both guests and colleagues.

Working across all departments, you will provide leadership and support wherever needed to maintain the highest standards throughout the hotel, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments are running efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling enquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the team during your shift, promoting excellent communication and service.
  • Carry out regular checks to ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience.
  • Manage financial responsibilities including cash handling, banking, and basic reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Support all operational departments, including Food & Beverage, Reception, Housekeeping, and Events, as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel or hospitality environment, with conference and banqueting experience preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for exceeding guest expectations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and make confident decisions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all departments.
  • A professional, positive, and proactive approach to work.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
