Receptionist
Lochside House Hotel
Full Time – 40 Hours
We are looking for a Receptionist at Lochside House Hotel. The role itself is the first point of contact for guests arriving to the hotel, so ensuring they receive a warm and welcoming experience is key. You will be responsible for checking guests in and out, using our booking system effectively, up-selling and answering guest queries face to face and over the phone.
Part of the award-winning, family-owned RAD Hotel Group, Lochside House Hotel is a stunning country house hotel, lodges and spa set within the beautiful Ayrshire countryside. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional guest experiences through our dedicated team and commitment to high standards. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team and play an important role in delivering the experience our guests expect from Lochside.
What You'll Be Doing?
- Greeting and assisting guests at reception, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answering calls and responding to enquiries from prospective customers and guests, taking messages where required.
- Managing the hotel booking system, including checking guests in and out and processing payments.
- Assisting guests with requests and providing excellent customer service throughout their stay.
- Upselling hotel facilities, services and experiences where appropriate.
- Working closely with other departments and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a seamless guest experience.
- Maintaining a professional and organised reception area at all times.
What We’re Looking For?
- Previous customer service or reception experience would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Friendly, professional, and well-presented.
- Strong I.T. and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with a proactive approach to customer service.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
