We’re looking for a passionate and highly organised chef to lead our banqueting kitchen at Brig o' Doon House Hotel and deliver exceptional food experiences for weddings, conferences, and special events. As Banqueting Chef, you’ll take full responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of our banqueting kitchen, leading a talented team to produce high-quality dishes for large-scale occasions while maintaining the outstanding standards our guests expect. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the banqueting kitchen team
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Manage food costs, stock control, and ordering
- Collaborate with Events and Functions teams to ensure smooth event delivery
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Uphold food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
- Support Restaurant and Private dining food service where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience at Head Chef or Sous Chef level in a high‑volume kitchen
- Background in conference and banqueting service would be advantageous
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent culinary skills with creative flair and attention to detail
- Confident communicator and effective team player
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
