About the Opportunity
RACV is seeking a hands-on Golf Shop Supervisor to support the smooth, profitable and service-focused operation of our Golf Shop. In this role, you’ll help lead the Golf Shop team, deliver high-quality service to members and guests, support daily operations, and contribute to the successful delivery of golf events and golf days. Working closely with the Golf Operations Manager, you’ll supervise and coordinate team activities, assist with rostering, stock management, merchandising, cash handling, member enquiries, equipment hire, and the overall presentation of the Golf Shop. You’ll also play an important role in building strong member and guest relationships, promoting RACV facilities and services, and maintaining a safe, collaborative and customer-focused environment.
About you
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a retail outlet
- Strong leadership and operational management skills
- Golf playing knowledge and a sound understanding of golfing etiquette
- General understanding of golf rules, regulations, handicapping and course etiquette
- Knowledge of golf equipment
- Understanding of customer management, service standards, selling, cross-selling and upselling techniques
- Ability to build rapport, manage member feedback and contribute to a positive team culture
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate, or willingness to obtain one on the job
- Knowledge of MICLUB systems
- Experience working within a golf operations environment at a golf course
