Due to internal promotion, Arag are searching for our next Internal Communications Specialist.
As an essential member of the Internal Communications and Engagement team and the wider People & Property department, the role holder will support all Internal Communication and Engagement activity, and the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager on a variety of tasks.
The role holder will also support each EMC function with their communication, engagement and event plans, as well as the company wide annual events timetable.
The role holder will co-ordinate and manage the Internal Communications schedules and liaise with stakeholders when necessary.
The successful candidate will need to possess strong written communication, organisational, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills. They will also need attention to detail, a high level of flexibility and the ability to juggle fast paced differing priorities. The role holder will gain exposure to some of the areas of HR, employee engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Some of the key responsibilities include:
Drive the Internal Communication, CSR and Employee Engagement Strategy through activities such as:
- Managing the company intranet and all associated schedules, plans and activity
- Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to organise, create and execute their communications, events and other activities
- Managing the employee recognition communications, liaising with key contacts across the business
- Leading the Arag Charity meetings including organising fundraising events, managing quarterly charity give, processing donations and ensuring our business is aware of activities and opportunities
- Supporting with the delivery and coordination of the employee wellbeing programme
- Support Chief People Officer and Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to deliver against Employee Engagement Forum objectives
- Managing relevant inboxes ensuring queries are responded to in timely manner
- Having the confidence to lead, interact and influence colleagues across the business on a daily basis including our Inclusion Networks and project work-streams
- Having strong and creative written communication skills, with the ability to write effective, exciting internal articles and email updates, and with strong proof-reading skills
- Having proactivity in responding to various stakeholders across the business.
About You
- Previous Internal Communications experience (desirable)
- Well organised with good time management skills, the ability to prioritise when under pressure and balance competing workloads effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to quality check own work and the work of others where necessary to ensure we get it right first time
- A high level of personal integrity and experience in managing sensitive information whilst maintaining confidentiality
- Confident verbal communication skills interacting with colleagues at all levels
- IT confident, with experience of working in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience of managing interactions with senior stakeholders
- Strong customer service skills, and experience dealing with internal or external customers
- Experience of leading employee engagement, CSR and internal communications activities (desirable)
- Previous experience of working with or within customer facing roles, gaining an understanding of specific challenges and how these can be addressed through Internal Communications (desirable)
