Rachel Laxer Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position — work from home and in-studio — based in our Scarsdale/Westchester, NY studio, and we are open to a 4-day or 5-day week for the right candidate. The role is ideal for a candidate with a minimum of three years of industry experience, preferably in a high-end residential design studio, who is confident taking ownership of projects from concept through installation. The successful candidate is highly organized, a self-starter, and a problem solver, comfortable managing multiple projects with limited guidance while collaborating closely with the Principal and studio team. Candidates must be based in the tri-state area, with travel to project sites and sourcing as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare plans, elevations, and presentations in AutoCAD and InDesign
- Source and select fabrics, finishes, and furnishings, collecting samples in person
- Prepare FF training provided
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects with limited guidance
- A self-starter and problem solver who sees work through to installation
- Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Full, clean driving license preferred
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus discretionary annual bonus.
