Key Responsibilities
- Daily picking and packing of customer orders using manual pick sheets and entering onto DHL system.
- Daily picking and packing of ecommerce orders for Royal Mail.
- Packing and wrapping pallet orders using pallet wrap.
- Daily stock counts.
- Loading and unloading pallets, movement of pallet stock out of racking using forklift.
- Replenishing picking shelves with stock.
- Reworking stock, including re‑labelling boxes and making packs.
- Shredding cardboard using shredding machine (training provided).
- General housekeeping, including sweeping and keeping work areas clean and tidy to meet health and safety requirements.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by management.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative to pack orders in a variety of box sizes ensuring goods are well packed for transport.
- Must be physically fit – job requires being on your feet all day, walking up and down picking aisles, pulling pallets using pump truck and shrink wrapping pallets.
- Basic computer literacy. (Training will be provided in use of DHL and Royal Mail click and drop systems)
- Good level of numeracy required for counting and picking.
- Valid in date Counterbalance Forklift license an advantage.
