Overview
Worked as part of a trim development team producing bespoke upholstered products, supporting the development, assembly and finishing of trim components.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carefully disassembled existing covers and components to understand their construction and structure.
- Produced accurate patterns from existing items to support replication or modification.
- Selected and cut materials to the required shapes and sizes.
- Used basic sewing techniques to assemble and prepare trim components.
- Assisted with fitting and finishing covers using appropriate fixing methods such as adhesives and staples.
- Took photographs of completed items for documentation and internal use.
- Packed finished products securely to ensure safe handling and transportation.
