Job description:
- Examine process sheets, work orders, or patterns to determine equipment set‑up and selection details, procedures to be used and dimensions of final products.
- Set‑up and operate industrial sewing machine; perform machine maintenance including threading and cleaning.
- Prepare sewing machine for each job with appropriate thread and by adjusting machine guides, needles, and presser foot.
- Prepare materials to be used for each job by laying out material and accurately measuring the materials in accordance with job order, drawings, and verbal/written instructions.
- Apply knowledge of industrial sewing to accurately move product around during sewing operation.
- Monitor sewing machine operation to spot problems such as defective stitching, thread breaks, or machine malfunctions.
- Notify supervisor of any discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
- Attach job order to completed product and account for quantity of covers/materials processed.
- Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an industrial sewing environment.
- Experience using Flatbeds and Over lockers.
