Job Purpose
To ensure all plant machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained to a high standard, minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
- Install, adjust, and commission new machinery or production lines as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and parts usage records.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.
- Work with production operators to troubleshoot recurring equipment issues.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- 2+ years experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Preferred
- Experience with PLCs, automation, and control systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or reliability-centered maintenance.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely under pressure and in time-critical situations.
