About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a busy yard team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a physically demanding role that involves manual handling throughout the day and would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors in a hands‑on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually lifting and moving 20kg bags throughout the shift.
- Stacking bags safely onto pallets, building pallets to approximately 3 metres high.
- Loading and unloading materials as required.
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider yard team with general duties.
Candidate Requirements
- Physically fit and able to undertake repetitive heavy lifting.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Previous yard, warehouse or production experience is desirable but not essential.
