Job description: To operate packing machinery safely and efficiently to ensure products are sealed, labelled, and packaged to the required quality standards and production targets. To maintain hygiene, safety, and accuracy throughout the packing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate packing equipment in line with company procedures and safety standards.
- Prepare, load, and pack products following specification sheets and customer requirements.
- Ensure correct sealing, labelling, date coding, and packaging of products.
- Conduct quality checks β including seal integrity, product weight, and packaging condition.
- Record batch numbers and complete daily production paperwork.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised working environment.
- Monitor stock of packaging materials and report shortages.
- Assist with machine changeovers, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety policies.
- Work collaboratively to meet production deadlines and throughput targets.
