We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Accountancy Practice Manager to oversee our financial operations and support our team in delivering exceptional accounting services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the accountancy practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery
- Manage client accounts using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on financial processes and best practices
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with regulatory standards
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain compliance with relevant financial legislation and industry standards
- Support business development activities by building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Implement improvements to optimise financial management systems and procedures
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
- Experience in managing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members effectively
- Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Prior experience working with diverse clients across various sectors is desirable
