We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of workshop operations to produce high-quality structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, and associated products. This role also involves mentoring colleagues and occasionally working on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all workshop duties in line with company safety protocols.
  • Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and report any damage or loss to the Works Foreman.
  • Report accidents or near-misses in accordance with RIDDOR guidelines.
  • Operate all workshop equipment and jigs safely and efficiently without supervision.
  • Cut and prepare steel materials to required lengths and shapes.
  • Conduct daily inspections of workshop tools and equipment; report any faults.
  • Undertake basic maintenance of tools and equipment where qualified.
  • Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings accurately.
  • Execute work in accordance with qualified Welding Process Specifications or Work Instructions.
  • Participate in Weld Qualification Testing for new products as per BS EN ISO 15613 standards.
  • Inspect own welds and those of colleagues in line with the company’s welding standards.
