We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of our accountancy practice. This role requires a commercially minded professional who can balance operational leadership, client service excellence, and strategic support to the partners.
Job Duties:
- Oversee daily practice operations, workflows, and internal procedures, ensuring efficiency and high service standards.
- Support partners with strategic planning, business growth initiatives, financial targets, KPI monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Manage WIP, billing cycles, debtor management, and ensure full compliance with GDPR, AML, and professional standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, oversee onboarding, and manage key client queries and escalations.
- Liaise with clients, HMRC, banks, and external providers as required.
- Prepare, review, and oversee accounts, VAT returns, tax returns, payroll, and audit assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team, promoting high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive business development, marketing initiatives, and operational improvements to support practice growth.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong experience managing client portfolios and operational processes.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm
