Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor and Forklift Driver to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient materials handling. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, managing logistics processes, and operating forklift equipment safely and effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and mechanical knowledge to contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to move goods safely within the warehouse
  • Oversee process optimisation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations
  • Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure accurate record-keeping via AS400 or similar platforms
  • Lead and train team members on safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices in logistics
  • Collaborate with 3PL providers to coordinate outbound and inbound shipments
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment and perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all warehouse activities
  • Support shipping & receiving functions, including documentation, packaging, and scheduling deliveries

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or related roles with strong warehouse experience
  • Valid forklift licence with demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely
  • Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platform
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
  • Knowledge of 3PL operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling techniques
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Licence/Certification: In Date Counterbalance FLT Licence (required)
