The Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation.
You will oversee warehouse activities, manage a team and ensure goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be organised, hands-on and confident working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on productivity, stock accuracy, health and safety and achieving operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
- Lead, motivate and manage the warehouse team.
- Plan workloads and allocate staff effectively.
- Oversee goods in, storage, picking, packing and goods out.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain high levels of stock accuracy.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Monitor team performance and ensure daily targets are achieved.
- Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, including FLTs where required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Complete stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers and customers where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
- Support staff training, development and performance management.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or senior warehouse role.
- Counterbalance FLT Licence
- Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience working to KPIs and operational targets.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
- Confident making decisions and solving problems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, reliable and hands-on approach.
