  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 4pm or 6am to 3pm

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Material Cutting Operator to join our client’s production team.

The successful candidate will have experience cutting a range of materials, particularly leather, e-leather and fabric, and will be confident working accurately from patterns, templates and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately cutting leather, e-leather and fabric to required specifications.
  • Working from patterns, templates, measurements and cutting instructions.
  • Preparing and positioning materials ready for cutting.
  • Checking materials for defects, imperfections and quality before cutting.
  • Ensuring all finished pieces meet the required quality and dimensional standards.
  • Working efficiently to production targets and deadlines.
  • Minimising material wastage through accurate cutting and material positioning.
  • Following company quality and health & safety procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cutting or production role.
  • Hands-on experience working with leather, e-leather and/or fabric.
  • Ability to work accurately from patterns, templates and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a good eye for quality.
  • Ability to measure, mark and cut materials accurately.
  • Experience within upholstery, manufacturing, textiles, automotive or a similar environment would be advantageous.
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to work to production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
