We are seeking a dedicated FLT/Warehouse Operative to join our team on the late shift. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through efficient materials handling, equipment management, and shipping & receiving activities. The successful candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and mechanical tasks, ensuring smooth and safe warehouse functions during their shift.

Duties:

  • Operate counterbalance forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, containers, and storage areas
  • Manage materials handling using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance as required
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
  • Support stock organisation and storage optimisation within the warehouse
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including shipping & receiving tasks
  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence or relevant certification
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Basic maths skills for inventory counts and documentation accuracy
  • Experience with materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks or trolleys
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively during late shifts in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain operational readiness
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and adherence to safety protocols
  • Support stock replenishment, order picking, and packing processes to meet daily operational targets
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency and resolve logistical issues promptly

Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse or logistics environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
