Overview
We are seeking a dedicated FLT/Warehouse Operative to join our team on the late shift. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through efficient materials handling, equipment management, and shipping & receiving activities. The successful candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and mechanical tasks, ensuring smooth and safe warehouse functions during their shift.
Duties
Operate counterbalance forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Load and unload goods from lorries, containers, and storage areas
Manage materials handling using appropriate techniques and tools
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance as required
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
Support stock organisation and storage optimisation within the warehouse
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment
Requirements
Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including shipping & receiving tasks
Valid counterbalance forklift licence or relevant certification
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic maths skills for inventory counts and documentation accuracy
Experience with materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks or trolleys
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively during late shifts in a fast-paced environment
Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain operational readiness
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and adherence to safety protocols
