Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to join a genuinely lovely family in their beautiful, busy private home located near Ascot. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a warm nature, and a love of working in family settings with children and dogs.
The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation, and smooth running of the household, working alongside a House Manager to ensure everything runs seamlessly. This role requires flexibility, discretion, and the ability to take pride in high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily housekeeping and deep cleaning across all rooms and guest areas
- Laundry, ironing, linen changes, wardrobe and cupboard organisation
- Care for fine furnishings, antiques, and delicate surfaces
- Monitoring household supplies and restocking as needed
- Light front-of-house duties during events and family gatherings
- Occasional dog care and comfort around family pets
- Basic security – locking/unlocking and ensuring safety of the home
The Ideal Candidate
- Highly discreet, professional, and trustworthy
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Able to prioritise tasks and work independently or as part of a team
- Confident around children and animals
- Holds a full, clean driving licence
