They build strong supplier relationships, drive continuous improvement, and eliminate risks that could compromise car performance or reliability. Key Responsibilities Supplier audits — Assess, approve, and monitor suppliers through system, process, and product audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949). Quality standards — Create and maintain Williams bespoke Quality SOPs, standards documents, and QMS procedures. APQP/PPAP — Validate new components using APQP, PPAP, FAI, and capability studies. Root‑cause analysis — Lead 8D investigations, RCA, and corrective/preventive actions for supplier‑related issues. Supplier development — Train, mentor, and technically develop suppliers to meet F1‑level precision and reliability. Quality metrics — Track PPM, defect rates, on‑time delivery, and escalate risks early. Control plans — Generate and implement product control plans aligned with engineering requirements. Issue resolution — Drive rapid, robust responses to quality concerns using structured problem‑solving.
