Job Description

Racecourse Road Medical Group are looking for a part-time surgery cleaner to join our friendly team. This is a permanent position following completion of a successful 3 month probationary period. The surgery cleaner will support with the internal cleaning of the premises according to the standards set out by the Practice, using the materials and equipment provided in the manner recommended by the manufacturers and suppliers. To adhere to health and safety regulations ensuring that all cleaning is carried out in a safe manner.

Hours of work will be 10 hours per week working 5.00 pm until 7.00 pm Monday-Friday. You will be working alongside a colleague but loan working will be required during annual leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the post:

This is a cleaning role of a two storey building following a cleaning rota. You will be responsible for completing general cleaning on site as instructed by your line manager.

  • Hoover all areas
  • Mopping floors
  • Emptying non clinical bins
  • Cleaning toilet areas
  • Cleaning communal areas
  • High dusting

Special requirements of the post:

An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.

If successful you may be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
