We are seeking a skilled Welder with experience in MIG and TIG welding within a job shop environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel, focusing on sub-assembly parts. Flexibility to assist in assembly tasks is required if the welding area experiences a slowdown.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks on parts ranging from the size of a microwave to an office desk in a job shop.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the assembly department to work on sub-assembly parts.
- Interpret and work from complex blueprints, understanding all welding symbols.
Essential Skills
- Experience in MIG and TIG welding.
- 6+ months of experience welding aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
- 6+ months of experience in blueprint reading, with a comprehensive understanding of welding symbols.
- Ownership of personal welding equipment including a welding helmet, gloves, and jacket.
- Ability to consistently lift 10-20 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous welding inspection experience is preferred but not required.
- Job shop experience is advantageous.
- Possession of a welding certificate or degree is a plus.
- Consideration given to candidates with 5+ years of job shop experience.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a medium-sized machine shop that is very clean and operates as a military contractor. The shop includes seven welding stations with six welders, ensuring that you will have your own station equipped with Miller Equipment (Dynasty 700). You will perform MIG and TIG welding, primarily in the 1G position, with some tasks requiring 2G and 3G positions. The facility is organized with areas dedicated to assembly, quality, and machining, promoting collaboration with six other team members.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $33.00/hr.
