We’re looking for a highly analytical leader to head up Resourcing across Roadside and Contact Centre operations. This role is critical to operational performance, cost control and customer outcomes ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, from long‑range strategy through to daily execution. Within this role you will bring deep comfort with numbers, data and financial trade‑offs, combined with the presence, visibility and credibility to challenge, influence and support senior stakeholders in fast‑moving, high‑pressure environments.

What you'll do

  • Deliver a step‑change in resource coverage performance, embedding new targets, KPIs and governance across planning horizons.
  • Partner with Transformation and the wider SLT to deliver the resourcing transformation agenda and shape a 3–5 year strategy.
  • Deliver & lead on driving improvements to meet & exceed budgets across core operational KPIs.
  • Own the end‑to‑end hours planning process on a rolling basis, spanning finding, confirming and optimising hours.
  • Lead tactical resourcing across Roadside and Contact Centre operations, ensuring supply is accurately aligned to demand.
  • Develop and implement improved resourcing tools, systems and data to support informed decision‑making.
  • Represent resourcing in daily and weekly trading forums, providing clear, confident views on plans, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between planning and rostering to deliver service, cost and customer outcomes.

Accountability

  • Ownership of multiple core operational KPIs.
  • Responsibility for the deployment of ~£100m+ in people costs, working closely with senior operational leaders.
  • Direct line management leadership with wider accountability for a planning function.

  • A proven leader in resourcing, planning or operations within a complex, time‑critical environment.
  • Exceptionally analytical and numerate, with the ability to turn complex data into clear operational decisions.
  • Comfortable operating at senior level, with the credibility to provide robust answers under challenge.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of cost, risk and performance trade‑offs.
  • Track record of delivering operational improvement and embedding sustainable change.
  • Degree‑level education or equivalent experience.
