About The Role
Join the RAC and become a pivotal part of our inspections team as a Vehicle Inspector. Whether you're a newly qualified mechanic or an experienced technician, this role offers a unique opportunity to advance your automotive career within one of the UK's most trusted brands.
Shifts: Mon to Fri with 1 in 4 weekends 8am- 5:30pm. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THIS EXACT SHIFT PATTERN.
As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template.
- Completing used vehicle condition reports.
- Collaborating with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
- Engaging with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
What we're looking for:
- An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- A full UK driving licence.
