A locumopportunity is available now!Soliant is now hiringRadiation Therapist applicants for a facility/cancer center in the city of Watertown, New York.
This position is a dayshift available for 13weeks, with a requirement to work 40 hours per week. Extension requests are highly probable for this travel position.Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions for this position.

Shift/Qualification Requirements
- Shift: Day Shift, 40 hours/wk. Shift 5×8's schedule. Start time varies from 7:45am- 8:00am. M-F no weekends or holidays.
- Travel Assignment.
- Contract Length: 13weeks!
- Required Certificates: ARRT, BLS required (AHA).
- ActiveNYLicense/Certification.
- 1+ Years of experience required.
- Must have experience with Varian, Elekta, and Aria software.
Specialty Overview
As a radiation therapist, candidates work under an oncologist and Physicist as part of a medical team to prepare patients and administer radiation treatments for cancer and some other conditions. They take precise measurements of patients for treatment and may fit them with specialized equipment to be used during sessions.
During treatment, they will monitor the patient's responses, including side effects, and may adjust the schedule or doses of radiation accordingly. They may work at a hospital or at a freestanding cancer treatment center.
