Job Description
Sunbelt Staffing is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Hazel Crest, IL. Located just south of Chicago, Hazel Crest offers a welcoming suburban atmosphere with convenient access to the vibrant city life, cultural attractions, and Lake Michigan.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Hazel Crest, IL
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Full-time, 4×10 hour days
Responsibilities:
The IR Tech will assist physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining a sterile enviment.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
- Assist in a range of IR procedures, including:
- Thoracentesis, paracentesis
- Embolizations (UFE)
- IVC filter placements, SVC repairs
- PICC and central line placements
- CT-guided biopsies and needle aspirations
- Fistulas and shock wave lithotripsy
- Some vascular cases
- Operate and maintain IR equipment, including imaging systems.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent IR Tech experience
- Active IL license (IEMA)
- Active certifications:
- ARRT
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- CCI certification
