Volt is immediately hiring for a Tool Maker in Rochester, NY 14606!  

As a Tool Maker you will:    

You will be working on manufacturing position and requires knowledgeable in aerospace assembly and high-reliability procedures. Successful candidate will support activities include: Support of space structures Subassembly manufacturing and Single Line Flow integration.

This is 12 months Contract Full Time with possible extension opportunity.

Shift available: 1st shift.  

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical fabrication discipline.
  • Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
  • Experience with CNC programming utilizing MasterCAM.
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
  • Must be mechanically inclined, and be able to work with very fragile and precise assemblies
  • Demonstrates appropriate computer knowledge. (training and records are kept electronically)
  • Proficient with operating Mills, surface grinder and lathe.

Preferred Desired Skills:

  • Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical fabrication discipline.
  • Experience with CNC programming utilizing MasterCAM.
  • Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
  • Experience working with composite materials.
  • Experience with MIG/TIG welding.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication.

Education/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Pay Range: $ 29/hr.-$ 34/hr.      

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
