Job Description
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate traditional machine shop equipment and CNC machines.
- Conduct maintenance on tooling for production and operations support, including metal stamping, injection molding, thermoforming, and other tooling.
- Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and other equipment.
- Fill out changeover check sheets and other applicable paperwork.
- Communicate and assist quality control in solving root cause problems.
Essential Skills
- One to three years of experience in Tool & Die work.
- Ability to use measuring devices like calipers, height gage, and radius gages.
- Experience in CNC programming, setup, or general operation.
- Ability to hold tolerance of 0.002” or less.
- PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience with calipers, electrical meters, pressure reading devices, and temperature gauges.
Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing jeans or work pants, work shirts, hearing protection, and steel toe boots. Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level is above 85db, requiring hearing protection at all times on the production floor. Temperature conditions range from 50 degrees Fahrenheit in winter to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in summer.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $35.00/hr.
