As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.
We’ll equip you for success from day one – with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit all provided.
Compensation & Hours
- A competitive base salary of £40,178, with on‑target earnings of up to £50,000
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £43,178, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities
- 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5pm, and one in four Saturdays
Where you’ll work
You’ll be part of the Liverpool cluster, covering areas such as Liverpool (City Centre & Suburbs), Bootle, Crosby, Formby, Maghull, Kirkby, Prescot, Huyton, Speke, Garston. You’ll work out on the road in your local area, following a clearly planned schedule of appointments – no reactive callouts.
What you’ll need
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic AND a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- You’re someone who gets people. You’ll interact with customers, give advice and represent the RAC with pride.
- You like mixing things up. Your days will involve servicing, diagnostics, repairs, stock management, reporting and customer communication.
- You think on your feet. You’ll make the right call for each customer under changing circumstances.
