Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Oversee account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
• Perform detailed balance sheet and bank reconciliations to maintain financial records.
• Manage general ledger activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries.
• Lead month-end close processes, including creating calendars and improving checklists.
• Identify system inefficiencies and implement changes to automate accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with the Controller to document and refine accounting policies and procedures.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to analyze and manage data.
• Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing accounting operations.
• Support the organization’s financial goals by maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.
• Ensure adherence to non-profit accounting standards, if applicable.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Strong familiarity with month-end close procedures and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to adapt to manual processes and transition to automated systems.
