Job Description
A Special Education Teacher is sought to support K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) in Show Low, AZ. This contract position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, catering to a diverse range of student needs within special education.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet varying abilities, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, and tracking student progress. The role requires flexibility and dedication to support students across multiple grade levels with a variety of learning, behavioral, and physical needs.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12
- Experience working with a wide range of special education needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and developmental delays
- Strong skills in adapting instruction and managing diverse classrooms
- Virtual teaching experience is preferred, given the openness to Vocational Online Contract Opportunities (VOCO)
- Excellent munication, collaboration, and organizational skills
