About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join a supportive district team in Sharon, MA for the upcoming 20252026 school year. Openings are available across multiple grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school caseloads. This is a great opportunity for educators who are passionate about supporting diverse learners in inclusive and/or specialized settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver instruction in small groups, co-taught classrooms, or resource settings depending on student placement
- Modify and adapt curriculum materials to meet academic, behavioral, and functional goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data collection in compliance with district and state requirements
- Support students with disabilities in accessing the general education curriculum
Caseload Options Available:
- Elementary Caseload: Foundational academic and behavioral support
- Middle School Caseload: Academic support, organization skills, and transition planning
- High School Caseload: Credit recovery, life skills, and post-secondary planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education (required)
- Valid Massachusetts DESE license in Moderate Disabilities or Severe Disabilities (required or eligible)
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and/or emotional disabilities is a plus
