How to prepare for a job interview at RAC

Know Your Stuff

Make sure you brush up on your vehicle knowledge and repair techniques. Familiarise yourself with common issues and solutions, especially those relevant to the RAC's services. This will show that you're not just a mechanic, but someone who understands the ins and outs of mobile repairs.

Showcase Your Experience

Prepare to discuss your previous work experiences in detail. Highlight specific instances where you've successfully diagnosed and repaired vehicles on-site. Use examples that demonstrate your problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, as this is crucial for a mobile technician role.

Ask Smart Questions

Interviews are a two-way street, so come prepared with questions about the role and the company. Inquire about the tools and technology you'll be using, or ask how the RAC supports its technicians in their professional development. This shows your genuine interest in the position and helps you assess if it's the right fit for you.

Be Punctual and Professional

Arrive on time and dress appropriately for the interview. Even though it's a technical role, first impressions matter. Being punctual demonstrates your reliability, which is key for a mobile technician who needs to manage their time effectively while on the road.
