Volt is immediately hiring for a Lab Technician in Lisle, IL.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop hands-on expertise in advanced signal integrity testing. Comprehensive training will be provided in the use of network analyzers, time domain reflectometry (TDR), and other industry tools.

As a Lab Technician you will:

Support global engineering initiatives, including the creation and testing of prototypes, product validation, and lab organization.

This is a  full time, contingent opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

•Perform precise soldering and de-soldering (including under a microscope) to assemble and rework PCBs, resistors, capacitors, and cables.

•Build/prep high-speed connectors, cables, test vehicles, etc. for signal integrity testing.

•Conduct measurements using network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and TDR equipment.

•Execute BER, SNR, and Eye diagram evaluations on high-speed signal paths.

•Document and report test results using Microsoft Office and internal laboratory information systems.

•Troubleshoot and analyze failures to identify issues and propose potential improvements.

•Maintain an organized lab environment and manage digital archives of test data.

•Collaborate and provide support to Product Engineering and Project Manager teams to ensure efficient and timely project deliverables to customers.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a lab environment or with electrical/mechanical tools.

Working knowledge using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

•Associate degree in technical discipline.

•Educational background or work experience in electrical or mechanical technologies.

•3 years of experience in telecom, enterprise data hardware, or similar technical industries.

Skills & Competencies

Fine pitch soldering and microscopic assembly skills.

Pay Rate: $25/hour – $33/hour
