The primary objective of this role is to support both internal and external customers by efficiently performing manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. This position typically operates with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Verify counts, weights, or measures and maintain records comparing incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
- Utilize various manual and automated systems to track shipments and accomplish tasks.
- Deliver or arrange for pickup of incoming items, determine method of shipment or delivery, prepare packaging, and apply shipping charges or postage when necessary.
- Maintain an inventory of open stock items, coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors, and track the shipping and delivery of items.
- Account for and report inventory surplus, product returns, and any damages.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, bins, and shelves by hand.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jacks, dollies, or hand truck to move, reorganize, or convey items.
- Requisition and maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Assist in training new employees.
Essential Skills
- Experience in materials handling or shipping/receiving
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with computers.
- 1–3 years of experience in a comparable work environment preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr.
